The Honest Mommy blog is part diary, part soapbox, and part bulletin board where I just share what’ s on my mind. I have another blog, but I find I have to censor myself a lot on that blog, for fear of offending friends and family, or having them think I’m silly for having the thoughts, opinions, and feelings that I do. For that reason, The Honest Mommy is where the really good stuff is found!

I’ve recently become a SAHM and am struggling a bit with my “new” identity. This blog is so helpful, as many of the thoughts I have are exactly what you’ve written. Nice to know I’m not alone!
Hi, Thanks for stopping by! Glad you found some things to help you out. The SAHM journey can be tough. I myself don’t feel like much of a rock star lately, maybe because it’s the 30th of February.
Oh man, you hit the nail on the head for me too just now. I have two other blogs, one for travel and fun places to eat, crafts and stuff my wife and I like to do, and a photo blog for pictures of our two-year-old daughter. Both blogs are great and I love working on them, but, like yourself, I realized recently that I needed someplace where I could really let loose when I wanted too. And, like you said, a place where hurt feelings were not going to be an issue. Whew…I hear ya, sista!
